According to the monitoring conducted by Media Diversity Institute, out of the three South Caucasus republics, Georgian press allocates most time to ethnic and religious minorities in its converge. The 5 most popular Georgia newspapers give more space to coverage of gender problems as well as in comparison with their Azeri and Armenian counterparts.
As for the sexual minorities, Georgian press is passive in covering their problems just like the Armenian and Azeri media. According to Media Diversity Institute, the South Caucasus press is far less advanced in diversity coverage than the developed countries.
