Former owners of Georgian Media Production Group, owner of Imedi TV-Radio Company sold the Georgian Media Production Group to BadriPatarkatsishvili’s widow Ina Gudavadze for GEL 3 (approximately EURO 1,5.) According to the agreement registered at the Public Registry 19 October GiorgiArveladze (45%), GiorgiKorakhashvili (30%) and GiorgiMikeladze (15%) received symbolic amount of one GEL each from the new owner. Another owner Joseph Key sustained his 10% of shares. Key is relative of the Patarkatsishvilis.
According to the documentation “the seller gives a guarantee that total amount of financial and other obligations of Georgian Media Production Group and all its subsidiary and affiliated companies to third parties (except of tax obligations) does not exceed GEL 6 million.”
Company new owner Ina Gudavadze told Liberali Magazine that “as we have been promised the Holding will not have any debts. We still to double-check this. Our lawyers are already studying all the financial documentation very carefully.”
The Agreement between the parties is accompanied with the consent from the Georgian National Communications Commission to re-registration of shares.
Ina Gudavadze is now owner of one more TV-Company. Georgian Media Production Group also owns TV-Company Aisi LLC, which owns the Play TV. It started broadcasting this July and the programming of the channel mainly consists of recordings of gambling championships.
