The Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) announced auction on October 7 to sell some property. The announcement on the auction was signed by acting Director General of the broadcaster Tamaz Tkemaladze.
The open auction is scheduled to be held on October 25, at 11:00 hrs in the GPB premises (68, Merab Kostava Str).Three lots are to be auctioned off – around 146 kg of aluminum, 19,5 tons of iron and up to 31 kg of copper wires. The sold metal is to expected to the produce the income of GEL 5,200.
GPB’s acting Director General Tamaz Tkemaladze spoke about the reasons of the sale of the scrap.
“This scarp is scattered around over the TV area, on the side of the Zoo. We would like to plant flowers instead. When filming we do need flowers,” said Tamaz Tkemaladze reporting to Media.Ge.
The members of the auction commission will be including broadcaster’s financial director Kakha Sonishvili, chief accountant Elena Mikhailova, Ilia Lomsadze, logistics service specialist Davit Mikatsadze and head of chancellery Elene Kavtaradze.
According to the terms and conditions of the auction the victor organization shall transfer money paid for the procured metal within five days.
