Ethnic, Religious and Sexual Minority Coverage in Georgian Press – Presentation of Monitoring Summary Report
12 September, 5 p.m. at the Heinrich Boll Foundation South Caucasus Regional Bureau for non-governmental organizations and printed press representatives will be held presentation of the summary report of ethnic, religious and sexual minorities’ coverage 15 month monitoring in Georgian press.
Monitoring is being carried out by Internews Georgia within the framework of the Heinrich Boll Foundation South Caucasus Regional Office project Addressing Hate Speech in Georgia: A Litmus Test for Human Rights and Social Tolerance. The project is made possible with the financial backing of EU in the scope of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).
At the presentation will be presented results of monitoring conducted from 1 May 2011 through 31 August 2012. For monitoring have been selected 8 national and 3 regional printed publications. Internews Georgia publicized the results of monitoring every quarter.
Media monitoring results will be presented by Internews Georgia media-researcher Diana Chachua.
