June 15 – Presentation of Second Interim Report on Pre-election Monitoring Findings
Tomorrow, June 15 the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) is going to release the second interim report on the 2012 Parliamentary Elections pre-election monitoring findings.
The press conference is scheduled to be held t 13:00 hrs at the ISFED central office at #37, Oniashvili Street, Tbilisi.
ISFED is carrying out the monitoring of the pre-election environment in 73 districts of Georgia through its long-term observers (LTOs). The second interim report covers the period from May 4 to June 4, 2012; also the events that have occurred before May 4but have been ongoing throughout the monitoring period. Monitoring includes the cases such as dismissal from work, threats, intimidation with political motive, physical abuse, illegal interference into the professional activities of journalists, meddling into NGO activities, application of administrative resources and the like.
