Training Program for Economic-Profile Journalists
USAID's four-year Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI) is designed to improve enterprise, industry, and country-level competitiveness in Georgia. The project launches a program, designed for economic profile journalists to help them strengthen and deepen their knowledge in economic-related issues. The project consists of the two components: the first component includes training sessions on the issues such as macroeconomics data analysis, banking, insurance, business and industry, etc; the second component focuses on free consultations by independent economic experts that will provide guidance on various economic issues to help media representatives with preparing articles on various economic/business issues. The program will take place from February 2012 till June 2012. The certificates will be issued on an accomplishment. The program also covers competitions for the best articles. The winners will be awarded by highly competitive prizes. The journalists attending the training sessions will be eligible to receive consultations.

Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Candidate should work on economic/business issues
- Candidate should be an active journalist.
Journalists should send their CV to: info@epigeorgia.com not later than February 3, 2012. The CVs should highlight at least 5 examples of articles/reports prepared for the past 6 months.
Only limited candidates will receive free consultations for those journalists who prepare analytical articles.
