The first business radio Kommersant (FM 95.5) being on for a year now is to offer its audience a new diverse programming.

In August Kommersant radio is to mark its one year anniversary and in this regard spreads its broadcasting area far to Batumi and then Kutaisi. The expansion of broadcasting area towards Kakheti (East Georgia) is also planned. The Kommersant radio is to obtain a new license to broadcast in the regions.

The radio employing 30 people is one of the leading from among the media outlets of a kind. According to Goga Samushia, the Kommersant radio commercial director since the radio is not a mass one they do not take part in the opinion polls but they are one of the leading from among the media outlets in the similar field.

As regards programmes - The pioneers on First Business FM, On the Watch of Budget - the programme in partnership with the Chamber of Control, Economics Plus, FM Voyage on tourism, Quality Mark in collaboration with Georgian Quality, Avornado, and many more business rubrics in addition to hourly news outlets are a part and parcel of the Kommersant radio air.

The main source of funding, the Kommersant radio director said, is advertising they lack now. The Kommersant radio founder is the investment company Irao Invest Group and 100% share of the radio is owned by this group.
