Journalist Accuses Gamgeoba Representative of Pressure

Dedoplistskaro-based (Kakheti, East Georgia) journalist Ilia Martkoflishvili has accused Gamgeoba representative Otar Kovziridze of pressure. "Remove this article... Don't touch me or then you will see me touching you..." the journalist received the letter including these lines from Otar Kovziridze few days ago.

"I published several articles in row. In the publications I pointed out that the representatives of the youth wing of the ruling party, through acquaintances and friends, got simultaneously employed at Sakrebulo and other offices. Therefore they are annoyed and I am being leveled threats at," Ilia Martkoflishvili said.

Reporting to Kakheti information center Otar Kovziridze said his lines do not contain threats though he couldn't clarify under which right the public servant demanded the journalist to delete the material posted on his blog.

"He [journalist] wrote that anyone in the National Movement office in Dedoplistkaro having wandered to and fro have been lately appointed to some positions. I was mentioned as one of those wanderers. No one has come and asked me. Therefore I E-mailed him telling to refrain from making the comments of the kind and not to touch me," Kovziridze pointed out.
