Training for Journalists

The Anti-Violence Network of Georgia is pleased to invitee Georgia-based journalists as well as journalism students to the training on domestic violence and media coverage of this topic.

The meeting to be conducted by Estonian experts will be held on June 16, from 10 am to 16 pm at Iliani Hotel (1, Veriko Anjparidze St). Dinner and coffee breaks are included.

The training is being held within "Improving Georgia's Administrative Capacities to Prevent Domestic Violence and Support Victims project being implemented by the Anti-Violence Network of Georgia in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and the Open Society Institute.

The project aims at sharing Estonian experience in terms of prevention of domestic violence, creation of efficient controlling mechanisms in the state structures of Georgia to reduce violence and help victims.

Journalists from regions will be reimbursed travel expenses.
