New Media Workshop for Media Professionals and NGO Workers

Transitions Online will present a two-day new media workshop on 11-12 of April in Tbilisi for a target group of Georgian experienced journalists, media owners/editors and NGO representatives, preferably working on human rights and youth issues. Leading new media professionals Kevin Anderson, Suw Sherman, Dan McQuillan, Doug Arellanes and Emin Huseynzade will conduct the workshop on promoting blogging and citizen media among journalists and civil activists.

Scholarships are available only for ten people from the regions and will cover travel, meals, and accommodation. The workshop will be translated into Georgian; however, the knowledge of English is preferable.

The best participants of the workshop will be selected to take part TOT (A training-the-trainer) training which will be held on 13 April, 2010. For TOT training some people will be selected from participating in the training and some from alumni of previous trainings.

Please send your CV and cover letter to the Country Manager for Georgia Elza Ketsbaia at ketsbaiae@gmail.com, with minimum 100 words, describing why you are applying for the training, your knowledge in new media, and why we have to choose you, no later than 1 of   April, 2010. Successful applicants will be contacted by email.
