Pedagogues Held Protest Rally at GPB Premises

OnMarch 1 up to 30 members of the Trade Union of Pedagogues and Scientists of Georgia held a protest rally in front of the GPB premises.

According to the rally participants the Georgian public Broadcasting is not covering the activities by the Trade Union.

The public broadcaster, Manana Ghurchumelidze, chairwoman of the Union said, doesn't cover the activities by successful trade union and its leaders.

The rally participants were met by Giorgi Chanturia, GPB Director General.

"The pedagogues' demand is legitimate, we'll pay more attention to their work but it depends on the activity of the trade union," Giorgi Chanturia told journalists.

The meeting of the Trade Union of Pedagogues and Scientists of Georgia with the GBP Board of Trustees is scheduled to be held on March 3. According to the rally participants the forms of cooperation are going to be discussed.
