US Embassy Announces Democracy Commission Small Grants Program Competition for 2010

The U.S. Embassy announces the opening of the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program second competition for 2010. The Democracy Commission, chaired by the Ambassador and implemented by Public Affairs Section, will award grants of up to $ 24,000 to indigenous Georgian non-profit, non-governmental organizations and media outlets on a variety of topics related to democratic development.
Different grant priorities are funded in different years. This year grants are requested to support media development.
The application deadline is March 1, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.

Please submit completed application and all supporting documentation to the U.S. Embassy (11 George Balanchine Street, Tbilisi, Georgia, 0131) as detailed in the program announcement. The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy convenes an internal Review Committee to review and rank proposals. Once the application deadline has passed, it may take up to three months to complete this process.
