The Guria News Office Attacked
On October 28 the Guria-based newspaper Guria News staff found the window in their office in Chokhatauri smashed.A double glass in a metallic-plastic window frame was broken with a big stone, Nato Gogelia, co-editor of the newspaper reported to Media.ge.
The Guria News premises are located on the second floor of the building, so the newspaper staff considers the window was intentionally broken.

On September 22 the UN House conference hall hosted the awards ceremony of the online contest on 'What Is Democracy?' The winners were awarded with prizes by Jamie McGoldrick, UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia. The online contest was being on within a week from September 10 to 17. The contest participants were to post their own quotes on democracy on a specially launched Facebook page www.facebook.com/demokratia. TV company Imervizia broadcasts its programs in Chiatura and Sachkhere districts, which border the territory of so-called South Ossetia from the west.Due to the local relief Imervizia's signal reaches the villages situated in Java district controlled by South Ossetia's de-facto authorities.
