Egypt to host international conference on media and language

Journalists worldwide can attend a two-day conference on the impact of media and technology on languages at the University of Minya in Egypt from December 7 to 9. At the event, titled "The Impact of Media and New Technologies on Languages," participants will explore new research in language, linguistics and literature through the use of the Internet, multimedia and new technologies. The conference will discuss the way in which language-related themes are represented in the media as well as how language specialists might communicate more effectively with and through the media.
