Transitions Online will present a two-day new media workshop on 11-12 of April in Tbilisi for a target group of Georgian experienced journalists, media owners/editors and NGO representatives, preferably working on human rights and youth issues. Leading new media professionals Kevin Anderson, Suw Sherman, Dan McQuillan, Doug Arellanes and Emin Huseynzade will conduct the workshop on promoting blogging and citizen media among journalists and civil activists.

Internews Georgia, in cooperation with Radio Netherlands Training Center (RNTC, the Netherlands) and Media Development Center (MDC, Bulgaria) welcomes applications for a ten-day training course in TV reporting on children issues. 12 TV journalists are eligible to take part in the training. Upon the completion of the course the participants will be awarded certificates.

The application deadline is November 25, 2009.

Applications accepted for Stan Storimans' Scholarship initiated by the First Lady of Georgia Mrs. Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs. in order to pay respect to the Dutch journalist Stan Storimans killed in Gori during the tragic events in August 2008. Through the scholarship, she gives the opportunity to Georgian journalists to receive higher education degree, to get professional training and to enhance their skills. All expenses will be covered by the Development and Reforms Foundation under the President of Georgia.
