Prominent TV Anchor to Run for Tbilisi Sakrebulo Elections
Prominent Georgian TV anchor Inga Grigolia is to take part, through the opposition Christian-Democratic party election list, in the Tbilisi Sakrebulo elections scheduled to be held on May 30, 2010.

Speaking at the March 10 press conference Giorgi Targamadze, leader of the Christian-Democratic party said Inga Grigolia will be heading the election party list and run for the position of the Tbilisi Sakrebulo chairperson.

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The first edition of the newspaper came out in 1922 under the name of Zarya Vostoka («Заря Востока») until 1991. According to the 1991 order by the Board of Ministers the newspapers Molodiozh Gruzii («Молодежь Грузии») and Zarya Vostoka merged into a new edition named Vestnik Gruzii («Вестник Грузии») whose lifetime was limited to three months only. Since April 10, 1991 the newspaper has been coming out under the name of Svobodnaya Gruzia («Свободная Грузия»).

Media in Port City

As soon as my business trip from Tbilisi to Poti was confirmed I started surfing the net to glean some info about the city. Wherever I came across the official name of the city it was titled as "a self-governing city."

Self-governing City Poti

It's six a.m. and I am already at Poti railway station. The city with the main port connecting Europe with Asia has been recently recognized as a free industrial zone.

Georgian Authorities Hires Two PR Companies to Lobby in the United States

Early this year Georgian authorities hired two PR companies to lobby in the United States. According to the documentation submitted to the US Department of Justice the fee for the service to be provided tops USD 800,000. The service to be performed by both companies includes lobbying Georgian authorities in the US Congress.
